Directions for use:
Feed 5g per 100kg of body weight per day. A 25ml level scoop gives approximately 15g. There is a
multilevel (5ml-25ml) scoop included in this product for your convenience.

Precautions:
For animal use only. Introduce to the horse’s diet gradually, splitting total daily serving
between AM and PM feeds (when applicable). Serve dependent on the individual animal but
as a guide. Store indoors or under cover in a frost-free, cool dry place out of direct sunlight.

What are the benefits of spirulina for horses?
Spirulina is a dietary supplement with antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. It is also a rich source of protein and a range of vitamins, and so the benefits are numerous. For horses, spirulina is thought to help maintain a healthy immune system, skin and respiration. Its high protein content also makes it a great dietary addition for muscle growth and recovery.

Thanks to its wide health benefits, spirulina could be a useful addition to all equine diets. It can be particularly effective for horses with allergies, as it can help to maintain healthy lungs and control their response to environmental irritants.

How do I feed my horse spirulina, and is it safe?
As a natural algae, spirulina is safe for horses to consume and can even be given to pregnant or lactating mares. As part of our Equine Essentials range, spirulina for horses is available in a basic powder form that means it can easily be added to daily feed so that the taste and smell are masked.

How much spirulina should I give my horse?
General feeding guidelines recommend adding 5 grams of spirulina for every 100 kilograms of bodyweight. This can be split over two servings.
