Directions for use

Feed 7.5g per 100kg of body weight per day.

A 25ml level scoop gives approximately 7.5g. There is a multilevel (5ml-25ml) scoop included in this product for your convenience.

What are the benefits of chamomile for horses?
Chamomile is known for being a calming, soothing supplement that can have great benefits for horses as well as humans. As a mild relaxant, it is beneficial for horses that get either anxious or excitable, and can be used on an ongoing basis or leading up to an event where the animal is likely to feel nervous. As well as behavioural benefits, chamomile can also help support healthy digestion, particularly in horses who may suffer from stomach problems related to nervousness. Its anti-inflammatory properties can also help maintain healthy joints and skin.

How do I feed chamomile to my horse?
Our finely milled chamomile powder can easily be added to your horse’s normal feed. We recommend adding 7.5 grams per 100 kilograms of body weight per day.

Is chamomile safe for horses?
There is some concern over the chamomile flower found in the wild, as this has been known to cause skin irritation for grazing horses. However, as a supplement chamomile is safe for horses to consume. It is not recommended to give chamomile to pregnant mares.

Are there any side effects of chamomile for horses?
Some horse owners report an increase in itchy skin after consuming chamomile for an extended period of time. As with all herbal additions to your horse’s diet, we recommend monitoring their behaviour and overall health for any signs of change or concern.
