Directions for use:
Feed 5-10g per 100kgof body weight per day in training or 4 days prior to, and 2 days after
competition. A 25ml level scoop gives approximately 12g. There is a multilevel (5ml-25ml) scoop included
in this product for your convenience.

For animal use only. Introduce to the horse’s diet gradually, splitting total daily serving
between AM and PM feeds (when applicable). Serve dependent on the individual animal but
as a guide. Store indoors or under cover in a frost-free, cool dry place out

What are the benefits of BCAAs for horses?
BCAAs, or Branched-Chain Amino Acids, are known to help with muscle recovery. Commonly used by people as a weight-lifting supplement, many equine owners have also found them to have multiple benefits for horses. BCAAs help to relieve muscle soreness and fatigue, ultimately helping to support muscle health and performance.

The amino acids in BCAAs are regarded as ‘essential’ because they are not produced naturally in either humans or horses, and so can only be added into the diet by food or a supplement.

When should I give my horse BCAAs?
You can add BCAAs to your horse’s diet all year round, but it is especially beneficial during times when the horse is exercising frequently or intensively. Many people choose to add BCAAs to a horse’s diet – or increase quantities – in the run-up to competition.

How do I feed BCAAs to my horse?
As part of our Equine Essentials range, our BCAA comes in a fine, easily digestible powder that can be added to feed. The amount you give to your horse will vary depending on the weight of the animal, but generally we recommend adding 5 to 10 grams per 100 kilograms of body weight to horse’s feed daily.

Are there any side effects of BCAAs for horses?
As long as the amount given is in accordance with recommendations, there are no known negative side effects for horses being fed BCAAs.
