Why is it unique?

Animalife Vetrohoof™ has been specially formulated with a veterinary strength concentration of D-Biotin and a unique amino acid profile with potent antioxidants to promote hoof horn growth, strengthen and improve hoof quality and uniquely support ligaments and tendons. It provides targeted daily nutritional support to ensure optimum hoof and lower limb function, and maximise performance and longevity. The powerful blend of bioavailable, naturally-derived amino acids contain specifically SOBF© Collagen Peptide Hoof Matrix, where the collagen peptides are pure protein, safe and allergen-free, and easily and completely digested. A proprietary blend of three plant sources – Acacia Catechu, Boswellia and Curcumin, with the addition of Black pepper for absorption (ABC+P) – gives ongoing support of hoof and lower limb comfort and mobility by uniquely addressing the supply of dietary antioxidants.

How does it work?

Most studies on the effects on hoof horn following supplementation with biotin indicate that at least 15mg daily is necessary to achieve consistent improvement. Vetrohoof contains 80mg, making it a market-leader. The unique collagen peptide mix can stimulate the generation of extracellular matrix molecules, which are crucial for healthy tendons and ligaments. It can also reduce the oxidative damage to joints, reduce joint pain, tenderness and swelling. Working synergistically, the combination of ABC+P promotes cellular health, improves circulation and blood flow to the hoof and can help optimise the body’s inflammatory response. The addition of Zinc, Lysine and Methionine in Vetrohoof can help support the rebuild and repair process within the hoof capsule.

Daily Maintenance:

A 20ml level scoop gives approximately 15g. There is a clear multilevel (5ml-25ml) scoop included in this product for your convenience.

Improvements in hoof growth and quality require stimulus and time. Vetrohoof provides the stimulus but hoof horn growth is relatively slow, so it may take 4-8 months before results are visible. Mix thoroughly with feed and split between meals where possible.

I have had my event horse who is nearly full TB (with very typical flat and poor quality TB feet) on Vetrohoof for about 6 months now. I have seen a real difference in the quality of his feet, the actual horn is much stronger without being so brittle any more. This in turn has enabled my farrier to more easily work with his foot balance, making a huge difference to him overall! Thank you.
